Red hair and blue eyes to die for....

I had a senior session a few weeks back that I'm just now getting around to posting. K. is one of my favorite people of all time, and best friends with my daughter, Catherine.....and it was a blast to get her in the studio for her senior session! This young lady is not only gorgeous with her red hair, beautiful blue eyes and "peaches and cream" complexion but is SO smart. We'll be calling her Dr. K one of these days without a doubt! Here's a few from her session.

Senior model...

I'm in the middle of working on the photos from the session of a young gal that's one of my senior models this year. N. is just a lot of fun, an amazing actress, and just a blast to work with!

My senior models or "reps" get a lot of perks like a free session and a free proof book to show their friends. Then on top of all that, they earn credits towards photos or cash for each person they refer. So, it works out to be a great deal for them, and for me! If you're reading this and are currently a high school junior, think about applying to be a senior representative for SH Photography!

Storyboards...

I was just packaging up a large order yesterday for some of my favorite clients and thought I'd post the two storyboards they purchased. They're really gorgeous and came out so well! Storyboards have these wonderful, clean lines that look great in any room of the house! They come in all sizes, but most of what I offer are 20"x20" (like these two) and 10x20". (Framing is available too.) So, for those of you who still aren't exactly sure what storyboards are, here's two wonderful examples.

The cutest little Leprechaun....

I had the cutest little guy in the studio on St. Patty's Day! And boy, did he have the most wonderful little "sausage rolls"....I could just pinch him all over! He had the greatest shirt too that said "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" ! Just perfect for the holiday. Here's a few of Mr. H. What a doll!

Mini Sessions All Year Round Now...

One of the things I'm offering now in 2009, since everybody is feeling the "pinch" a little bit is: year-round mini sessions. These are quick, fun, less expensive, AND you get to see your photos and pick out your favorites right after the session. So, if you've got
a child that you'd love to bring in for a quick visit, then email me for more details. (I'm afraid that this applies to everybody but newborns and seniors, cause they're never quick!)

Welcome to the world, Baby N...

The sweetest parents in the world were in the studio last week with their absolutely precious six day old! I was so proud of them for making the trek in with one so young. (remember parents, under one week is the ideal time for those precious, cuddly, curled-up, sleepy shots!) Mom and Dad were so calm and experienced in handling him, that I would've thought that he was their third baby instead of their first! He was a tad bit fussy, but we still got some wonderful images. Here's a few:

Such a sweet little guy....

I'm just loving all the babies I'm getting in the studio these days. Each one is so precious! And its a great way to keep my "babyitis" at bay! This little guy is number four and the parents are just the best...so he's in good hands! Here's a few of Mr. N.

Miss A...

Like I said, doing photo shoots with teens is so much fun! They know how to pose, and they STAY in one place...wow! Definitely a different experience than a toddler session. :) Thanks so much for a great afternoon, Miss A! Here's a few from our time together.

Miss F...

Miss B....

I had the best time a few weeks back taking some photos of some gorgeous teens! It was a wonderful and fun switch for me to get to do some outside shooting and to work with someone over the age of 12 months! I had an absolute blast, except for the part when I was thinking a little too creatively and trying to back up the car at the same time.....ooops! Here's three of the "Oh, so pretty" Miss B.

Happy Belated Valentine's, everybody!

Posting this late, is better than not at all, right? I was just getting these cards in the mail to my family and thought I'd post them on the blog too, so my clients could take a look. Miss D was a wonderful model and we had a great time in the studio! (But she says next year she just wants to hand out Valentine cards like everybody else's! Poor thing, it's not easy having a photographer for a mom!)

Introducing precious Miss C...

I got to have another sweet little cherub in the studio a few days ago. Miss C. was such a sweetie and was the spitting image of her older brother! She and mom were so much fun to photograph! Congratulations, wonderful M. family....Miss C. is absolutely adorable! Here's two of my favorites....

Mom and babe...

Those of you who know me, know that one of my most favorite things in the world to photograph are moms and babies. I don't think there's anything more precious in life than that wonderful bond that a mama and baby share those first few months! Here's a portrait that I know will become one of my most favorite mom and baby images of all time!

The most beautiful baby blues you'll ever see....

I got to start the new year off right with the absolutely cutest little baby in the world! This little sweetie was so amazingly good
and so gorgeous that my heart melts each time I see her or her portraits. And her parents were so precious with her and so much fun to work with and to get to know better. C. family, ya'll were such a joy! I can't wait to show you all the images tomorrow!

Back home....

Alright, is it really February? And has it really been SIX weeks since I've posted a thing? No more "blog-slacking" for me in the new year, I promise! I'll be posting a lot and playing catchup in the next few days. I've had several really fun photo shoots that I can't wait to share with everybody!

Needless to say, my holidays were wonderful and crazy. One of the best parts was having C. home for a few weeks and what a treat it was to get her into the studio. Here's a few of my favorites.
