A fun but COLD session...

One COLD Sunday in January, I had a great outside shoot with a wonderful senior guy. This is a guy we've known forever and someone I think the world of, so that made this shoot extra fun, despite the really cold weather. A great senior......

Another one of my favorite clients is the A. family and how fun it was to get to see them again with yet another graduating senior in the family! We had a great time trekking all over the place and this guy was the absolute best sport! Hope you have a great senior year! Here's a few from the shoot.

It's been way too long since my last post, but I had to show you some of these from a recent portrait session with one of my favorite families! Their little girl was one of the cutest little babies that I've ever had in the studio and what a joy it was to see her back with her little brother! Way to go, wonderful C. family for making the effort to get the kids here!!

My beautiful art work...

Question: How long can it take to get a website up and going? Well, if you're juggling a million other balls, and you're semi-techno impaired the answer is "A long time!" :) But I'm still plodding away on it, and its going to be gorgeous with full screen images and lots of different slideshows and galleries!

On another note though, as an anniversary treat to myself (and my dear hubby for putting up with me for so many years!) I'm ordering big prints of my wonderful girls for just about every room in the house! Let me tell you, there's no better art work for your walls than portraits of your family! And nothing will bring a smile to your face faster! Here's one of the ones I'm putting up. Aren't they beautiful?!

Dearest daughter...

Wow! It has been way too long since my last post. It's been a wild last few months! So, what have I been doing? Well, just to name a few things, I've been finishing up the last of my big summer orders, and visiting with my oldest daughter, who was in town for a little while. And after she left (for her last year at Cornell), the rest of us took off for a fantastic trip to the beach in Oregon. It was a wonderful way to say good-bye to summer (and we actually had sunshine for the first time ever!) So, here's a few photos of my terrific oldest daughter who I already miss so much (with more summer photos to come!)

Brother and sister combo...

I had a great brother and sister shoot two weeks ago. We had a fun time and they were SO cooperative... and they made it all so easy! Even on the hottest day of the year! The camera loves these two, and I had such a hard time figuring out which ones to show for a preview, cause they were all so good! Thanks K and J, ya'll were wonderful!

An amazing senior....

I had the best time with a soon-to-be-senior from Michigan just a week or two ago. H. had lived here for her freshman year and wanted to come back and get her senior pictures taken here at her great-grandfather's beach house! We ended up going several more places on the island right at dusk, and got so many fabulous shots that I don't even know where to begin to choose what to post! H., I had a wonderful time with you two and I wish you the best senior year ever! I think you're amazing and you were a joy to photograph!

Before I left on vacation, I had the joy of photographing a couple who were celebrating their FIFTIETH anniversary. D. and A. and their daughter, who had arranged for the session, were just so much fun! And would you believe that they have EIGHT children?

I'm back....

I'm slowly coming back to reality after a fantastic family reunion trip! It was wonderful soaking up the sun, and getting a chance to catch up with my mom and brothers and their families. How fun it was just getting to see everybody and watching the cousins get to know each other again. We just had a terrific time! I don't know if your family is as spread out as mine is, but aren't family get-togethers a wonderful thing?

Out of town....

I am packing away right now and just wanted everybody to know that I'll be gone on vacation until July 5. Have a happy July 4th, friends!

Fabulous sisters....

One of the things I love most are "sisters shoots" (not that I get to go on a lot of them with my camera-shy daughters!) But I was privileged enough to do a portrait session with two fabulous teen sisters a few weeks back. These two gals were so easy to work with! Another special treat was that the weather and the light even cooperated and gave me some of the yummy late evening golden light! All that made for one fun shoot with two beautiful and talented sisters! Thanks, S. family! Here's a sneak preview to enjoy!

The cutest little guys you've ever seen....

I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to show for a sneak peek with these two little guys. They're all wonderful! The two brothers were just the cutest in their matching overalls! And even though the weather was "iffy" up until the last second, and even though little brother was more interested in my snacks than the camera, we still got some amazing images! Here's just a few from a wonderful collection!

A big guy.....

I've been backlogged lately with photoshop work, so I haven't had much time to post anything....but there's a lot in the works, I promise! Here's a sneak peak from one session from two weeks ago. This little man was such a sweetie....and so big too. He's four months and quite the "back-breaker" for mom and grandmom! He was all smiles (most of the time!) and looked so adorable in each of the hats I put him in! And "get a load" of his beautiful eyes!

I want ya'll to meet Little Mr. A. He's just gorgeous! He and his big brother were in the studio a few weeks back, along with his beautiful mom and grandmom, who just happens to be one of my favorite people. This little guy is going to be so well loved!

Another wonderful family...

I had a sweet little guy in the studio two weeks ago and I just got through working on his photos. This little guy didn't want anything to do with laying on his tummy, but boy, was he happy in mom and dad's arms! And then he was all smiles when I put him in my antique basket! He loved standing up! Thanks for coming in wonderful S. family and many congratulations!
